API Keys let a developer connect other software to your app. Most businesses never need them, so only create one if EasyMate support or your own developer asks you to.
Managing keys
- Create API Key: generate a new key, with a name and a note about what it’s for, such as a production deployment.
- Revoke or delete a key: turn off a key you no longer use. Anything relying on it stops working right away, so only remove a key you’re sure about.
Treat an API key like a password. Anyone who has it can act on your app through the connected software, so share it only with people you trust and never post it publicly.
